Coaches Code of Ethics As an M.J.B.A. coach you are required to adhere to the following Coaches Code of Ethics to participate in our program. You will pledge to live up to all Rules and Regulations set forth by the Medina Junior Basketball Association Place the emotional and physical well being of your players ahead of personal desire to win Treat each player as an individual, remembering the large range of emotion and physical development for this age group. Do your best to provide a safe playing and practice environment Review and practice basic first aid principals needed to treat injuries. Organize practices that are fun, informative and educational in the sport of basketball Lead by example to demonstrate fair play and sportsmanship at all times Provide a environment for your team players that is free of drugs, tobacco and alcohol and refrain from their use at all youth sport events. Be knowledgeable in the rules and regulations set forth by the M.J.B.A. and teach these rules to all team players. Remember that you are a youth sports coach and that the game is for youth players and not adults. |
