On May 3, more than 100 restaurants in Denver, Indianapolis, and Orange County will offer the Garlic Guajillo Steak for a short time. The
powerfully flavored steak is cooked in tiny batches with garlic and guajillo peppers, diced, and finished with lime and cilantro.
The chain's CMO, Chris Brandt, said, "Garlic Guajillo Steak is full of flavor with a perfect little kick that complements our 53 real
ingredients." "Menu innovation is an ongoing priority at Chipotle, and we are always looking for new flavors to give our fans new ways to Chipotle."
Garlic Guajillo Steak will follow the recently tested Smoked Brisket and the Pollo Asado, which CEO Brian Niccol termed the "most popular new
protein to date" on a recent earnings call. In January, the Mexican fast-casual tested Plant-Based Chorizo with its Lifestyle Bowls and received excellent feedback.
